After Hours Urgent Medical Needs

If you have an urgent medical need and need to talk to our doctors after our regular hours, please call our office at (318) 323-6405. A doctor is on-call 24 hours a day. Your call will be returned promptly.

Insurance / Payment / Billing

At Louisiana Pain Care we accept Workers’ Compensation, Medicare, and most major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (318) 323-6405 to find out if we accept your insurance plan.

If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

If you have a question related to your bill or insurance, please contact our billing specialists at (318) 323-6405.

If your insurance is an HMO/managed care plan and you are required to obtain a referral from your primary care physician, the referral must be obtained before you can be seen for an office visit. Please coordinate this with your primary care physician in advance. Appointments will be rescheduled if required referrals are not received in the office by the time of your visit.

Self referrals are accepted at Louisiana Pain Care. You will be asked to provide office notes and x-ray/MRI reports from any other physicians that have previously evaluated your pain. These records must be submitted for physician review before an appointment can be made.

Hospital Affiliations

Providers at Louisiana Pain Care have hospital or surgery center affiliations with:

Prescription Requests

Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Louisiana Pain Care are routinely issued during our regular office hours (see above). You can make your request by calling our office at (318) 323-6405.

No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctors do not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.

Financial Responsibilities

Bring a copy of your insurance card to your initial appointment. Without insurance, a cash payment in full is required at the time of service. As a courtesy, we will file our insurance for you, but the patient is responsible for payment of all fees, regardless of insurance coverage or the status of any insurance claim(s). Louisiana Pain Care accepts most medical insurances, Workers’ Compensation insurance, and Medicare.

  • Patients are financially responsible for all charges. We will bill Medicare or your primary and secondary insurance for you. Please be sure to bring your most current Medicare or insurance card with you.
  • Be prepared to pay any deductibles or co-pays on the day of your appointment. Louisiana Pain Care accepts cash, cashier’s checks, credit cards and personal checks with valid I.D.
  • Payment plans can be arranged for patients that do not have insurance coverage, or whose procedure is not covered by insurance.
  • Financial arrangements must be made prior to your appointment. Please feel free to contact our business office at (318) 807-0231 if you have questions or concerns.
